BOSTWICK'S MAGNOLIA MANOR
The Details, Beautifully Considered
Your Wedding Questions, Thoughtfully Answered
-
A tent isn't required, but we do recommend one, particularly for celebrations of more than 50 guests.
Magnolia Manor can accommodate up to 50 guests indoors if the weather turns unfavorable, although space is limited and a fully seated indoor dining reception for 50 isn't possible.
We work with several wonderful local rental companies offering tents in a variety of sizes, styles, and budgets, and we're happy to help you explore your options.
-
Absolutely! Your entire wedding experience can take place right here at Magnolia Manor, from your ceremony and reception to your rehearsal dinner, welcome gathering, and time spent with family and friends.
There's no need to transport guests between locations, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration.
-
Yes, for weddings with more than 50 guests, Bostwick's Magnolia Manor requires a professional wedding coordinator, at minimum a Day-of Wedding Coordinator.
Larger weddings involve countless moving parts, from vendor arrivals and setup to ceremony timing, guest transitions, reception activities, and the unexpected details that inevitably arise. An experienced wedding coordinator has the knowledge, organizational skills, and professional relationships to manage these responsibilities effectively, allowing you and your loved ones to enjoy the celebration rather than work through it.
While a well-organized friend may be helpful for an intimate gathering, we strongly believe weddings with more than 50 guests require experienced professional coordination. This is especially important for couples planning their wedding from out of town. A local Outer Banks coordinator understands the area, knows the vendors, and can help navigate logistics that may be unfamiliar to you.
We are happy to provide a list of excellent local wedding coordinators whose work we know and recommend. You are welcome to select the professional who best fits your vision and budget.
Please note: Wedding Coordination and Estate Hospitality & Oversight are two separate services, and both are required for weddings exceeding 50 guests. Your coordinator manages the wedding itself, while our Estate Hospitality team handles the property, facilities, and behind-the-scenes hospitality needs.
-
Due to the historic nature of Magnolia Manor and its beautiful grounds, dedicated estate oversight is essential to protecting the property while ensuring a seamless celebration. Our team monitors the estate and guest activities, maintains restrooms, manages ongoing trash removal, and provides guest and vendor assistance, allowing you to focus on getting married rather than supervising guests or managing property-related responsibilities. This service complements your wedding coordinator but does not replace her, as these duties fall outside traditional wedding coordination. Estate Hospitality & Oversight is a required service included in our Grand and Signature packages. It is a required add-on in the Experience package if you are having more than 50 guests.
-
Magnolia Manor specializes in intimate Outer Banks weddings of 25 to 100 guests, while welcoming celebrations of up to 175 guests.
Whether you're envisioning a romantic gathering with your closest family and friends or a larger celebration beneath the stars, our seven-acre private waterfront estate offers a beautiful setting to bring your vision to life.
-
Absolutely! We believe your wedding should reflect your personal style, preferences, and budget.
You're welcome to choose your own caterer, photographer, florist, and other wedding professionals. We also have a wonderful collection of trusted Outer Banks vendors we're happy to recommend.
We simply ask that couples obtain wedding event liability insurance, which typically costs around $120 and provides valuable protection for your celebration. Bartenders must be properly licensed, but we're happy to help you find affordable options.
-
We've always believed that a beautiful wedding deserves a beautiful backup plan!
For intimate celebrations of 50 guests or fewer, Magnolia Manor offers indoor gathering spaces should the weather be less than cooperative. While these spaces can accommodate your guests, they aren't designed for a fully seated dining reception of 50 people.
For larger weddings, we strongly recommend arranging a tent in advance. We can connect you with trusted rental professionals who offer a variety of styles and price points, helping you plan with confidence, whatever the forecast.

The Little Extras
Because it's the thoughtful touches, cherished traditions, and little surprises that make your celebration uniquely yours.

You're also welcome to work with outside rental and décor professionals to create a setting that reflects your personal style.
